What is the Carlsbad Connector?
Introducing the all-new Carlsbad Connector, a pilot program offering on-demand express shuttle service from the Carlsbad Poinsettia COASTER Station. The City of Carlsbad, North County Transit District (NCTD), and the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) have partnered to combine the convenience of ridesharing with the sustainability of transit services to offer you efficiency and flexibility at a very affordable price. When a fixed bus route doesn’t fit into your schedule, now you can simply book your shuttle service directly from your phone for immediate or future rides.

Where does the Carlsbad Connector go?
The service will run from the Carlsbad Poinsettia COASTER Station Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and again in the evening from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., providing flexible service to our business parks in and around Palomar McClellan Airport and along the coast.
Need a ride to lunch? The Carlsbad Connector will run Monday through Friday from noon – 3:00 pm to take you to all your favorite local lunch spots. It even makes runs to Carlsbad Village! Support local businesses and chat with a friend without having to worry about driving or parking hassles.

What is the Carlsbad Connector?
How much does it cost?
Carlsbad Connector is FREE to those with a monthly COASTER pass or a RegionPlus day pass. Without a COASTER or RegionPlus pass, the fare is $2.50 per one-way trip. Reduced fares are available to those with a valid SDM (Senior, Disabled, Medicare) card at a cost of $1.25 per one-way trip.




How it Works?

Key in your pick-up and drop-off locations.

Input the time and date of your trip. You can ride instantly or make a booking up to 3 days in advance.

Select the number of seats you’ll need.

We’ll show you the best available routes. Make your selection.

Pay for your ride via credit/debit card to confirm your booking or chose pay on board if you have a transit pass. This guarantees you a seat on the shuttle.

Make your way to the pick-up point before your ride is scheduled to arrive. Hop on and enjoy the ride!
